Spend a full day immersed in the art of soap making in this hands-on workshop. Participants will explore a variety of ways to incorporate herbs into your soap, along with techniques for creating a creamy, moisturizing bar of farm-fresh goat milk soap. We’ll discuss the qualities of different herbs and their healing and nourishing properties and cover three foundational soap-making methods: hot process, cold process, and hand milling.
In addition to making soap, you’ll learn how to felt soap and incorporate loofah sponges for gentle exfoliation and added skin benefits. This comprehensive class offers a strong foundation for working with high-quality ingredients sourced from the field, forest, and farm. Participants will leave with multiple bars of soap to cure at home, a recipe guide and skills they can return to for years to come.
