Spend November 14 and 15, 9:30 AM–4:30 PM each day, learning to design and weave a pine needle and sweetgrass coiled basket with Linda Conroy. Hosted by Marine Mills Folk School, 550 Pine St., Marine on St. Croix. Tuition $295 plus $75 materials fee.

About the event
Spend a weekend with your hands in pine needles and fragrant sweetgrass. Herbalist Linda Conroy will guide you through the art of coiled basketry, from starting the center to building the sides and finishing the rim, as you design and stitch a basket of your own.
Coiling is a slow, meditative craft, and two full days give you time to learn the technique well and leave with a finished basket and the skills to keep weaving at home.
When and where: Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, 2026, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day, at Marine Mills Folk School, 550 Pine St., Marine on St. Croix, MN. This is one two-day class.
Cost: $295 tuition plus a $75 materials fee. Please bring scissors, a thimble, reading glasses if needed, and a lunch.
